Description:
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Years Old is a single malt whiskey from the Highland region of Scotland. After the first aging in American white oak casks, the whiskey is moved to specially selected casks that have contained ruby port, where it is allowed to develop further depth, fullness and complexity. It is bottled at 46% alcohol and is not chill-filtered, which gives a better mouthfeel and a greater aroma.
Colour: Reddish amber.
Scent: Mint chocolate, oranges, sandalwood and walnut.
Tasting notes: In the taste you will find both sweet notes of Turkish delight, chocolate and orange peel and a pleasant dryness in the aftertaste.
Serving suggestions: Should be enjoyed neat, possibly with a drop of water.
Glenmorangie is known for having Scotland's tallest stills. The tall cauldrons provide increased contact between the spirit and the copper, and this has a marked effect on the taste of the final whisky, which becomes lighter and more elegant.
