Description:
Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or is a single malt from the Highland region of Scotland. The whiskey spends part of its growth in casks that have contained the prestigious French dessert wine Sauternes, and Nectar D'Or has managed to find the perfect balance between sweetness and dryness. It is bottled at 46% alcohol – a perfect drinking strength for a dram like this.
Color : Golden.
Aroma : Lime and orange peel, prunes, dates, coconut and nutmeg.
Tasting notes : Roasted almonds, ginger and a strong honey sweetness, which is nicely balanced by drier, fresh elements such as nutmeg and lemon peel.
Serving suggestion : Should be enjoyed neat. A perfect dessert dram!
Glenmorangie is known for having Scotland's tallest stills. The tall cauldrons provide increased contact between the spirit and the copper, and this has a marked effect on the taste of the final whisky, which becomes lighter and more elegant.
