The definition of the Veuve Clicquot style, a perfect balance between strength, aromatic intensity, freshness and silkiness. A tradition of transmission that aims for a remarkable consistency: only 11 cellars master for almost 250 years. Yellow Label is a full-bodied and fresh Champagne with a hint of fruit aromas and is particularly suitable as an aperitif.
Tasting notes: A champagne that really manages to create a balance between the strong acidity and soft bubbles. It has notes of pears, peaches and a bit of brioche, which really makes it fresh and lively.
Grapes: 30% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier
Dosage: 10g/L
Serving temperature: 8-10 degrees.
Food pairing: This champagne goes perfectly with various fresh fish dishes, caviar with blinis and pasta dishes.
Veuve Clicquot
The champagne house Veuve Clicquot was founded in 1772 and in 1805 Madame Clicquot took over the house when her husband died suddenly of a high fever. Veuve means widow in French, which is why the house is today called Veuve Clicquot. Did you also know that Madame Clicquot invented Rosé champagne - the one where you mix white and red wine? She quickly became known as the "Grande Dame of Champagne".
