Description:
Planteray XO 20th Anniversary PX Sherry Finish
The rum is distilled at the West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados in both pot and column stills. The blend consists of “extra old rums” aged in both new casks, bourbon casks and Ferrand casks, first in the tropics and then in France. Finally, a The finish on the sherry casks is the icing on the cake.
Color: Mahogany.
Scent: Sweet and spicy scent of coconut and vanilla, followed by honeyed notes, English Christmas cake, tobacco and banana.
Tasting notes: Big, full-bodied and sweet on the tongue. Notes of coconut, chocolate, prunes and coffee.
Serving suggestion: Should be enjoyed neat.
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum
The rum is aged in several different types of casks, including the now well-known cognac cask (Plantation's signature, if you will) but also brand new, unused American white oak casks. These casks add additional vanilla notes to the Barbados rum, which is already swimming in tropical fruit and coconut.
Color: Bronze
Aroma: Very aromatic and fruity, with pineapple, vanilla bean and coconut flakes.
Tasting notes: The rum is gentle and friendly in the mouth and unfolds beautifully with mazarin, dried mango and Bounty.
Serving suggestion: Should be drunk neat. Do you have a friend who doesn't like neat spirits? Show him/her this rum!
