Like all Armand de Brignac releases, Blanc de Noirs is also a Multi-vintage Champagne - it consists of the following vintages 2013, 2014 and 2015.
The newer wines bring freshness to the blend, while the reserve wines add depth and richness. Seven years in the cellars, meanwhile, adds complexity.
This rare release is made from grapes from the premier and grand cru pinot noir producing villages of Chigny-les-Roses, Verzenay, Verzy, Ludes, Rilly-la-Montagne, Mailly-Champagne and Ville-sur-Arce.
The Blanc de Noirs have excellent aging potential (+2040), thanks to only the first part of the cuvée press being used. This careful process guarantees the freshest fruit flavors and the highest acidity in each bottle.
Handcrafted from harvest to labeling, this ultra-prestigious 100% Pinot Noir Champagne is rare in the truest sense of the word. Each bottle in the extremely small production is inscribed with a unique number (1 to 7,328) as well as its disgorging date.
Aroma: Intense and mineral on the nose, with hints of blackberry, fig and plum complemented by hints of cherry, strawberry and orange blossom.
Palate: Elegant and lively with a flinty minerality emerging mid-palate - expect notes of orange, plum, mango and white peaches. Lingering notes of licorice, honey and nutmeg add complexity and there is a long finish
