Krug is one of the finest houses in Champagne , with a history dating back to 1843 when the house was founded by Johann-Joseph Krug. They have an easily recognizable style, which is due to the fact that all wine is fermented exclusively in oak barrels, and that the second fermentation on the lees is extra long.
