Cristal Champagne is produced by the great Champagne house Louis Roederer. A house known for quality and their top brand is called Cristal. You have probably heard of this top brand, e.g. their 2008 vintage was praised to the skies by reviewers - in fact it got a full 99 and 98 points with some saying that it was possible that it could become a 100 POINT Champagne!!
These points are rarely thrown around.. This leaves us with the question, can other cohorts such as e.g. 2013 follow along??
It's been half a year since its release and most reviewers have passed by Cristal 2013 and some even revisited it.. 2013 is a difficult year for many champagne houses, but it seems that Louis Roederer with their knowledge of quality has made perhaps the greatest vintage since 2008..
Fresh reviews have rolled in from James Suckling, who gives it 98 POINTS with the words " Connoisseur Champagne " and " Smaller production than normal "
and 97 points by Vinous with the words " The 2013 Cristal is a wine of extraordinary precision and tension "..
