Here you get a lovely white wine with light aromas of elderflower and green lime. The taste is fine and juicy with notes of citrus fruit, sweet herbs and minerality. The wine has had a limited amount of barrel aging, which gives extra crispness to the wine's refreshing acidity. It is a classic white wine from an excellent season. It is made from Sauvignon Blanc and contains 13.5% alcohol.
Founded in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five winemakers to venture into Marlborough. At the time, it was almost an unthinkable place to plant a vineyard.
Cloudy Bay is spread over two wine regions, full of climatic and geological diversities. Marlborough, this is where it all started in New Zealand. Central Otago, the world's southernmost wine region, where selection is paramount.
