Hennessy XO Cognac is a blend of 100 "eaux-de-vie" from the four premier crus of the Cognac area: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fins Bois and Borderies. The oldest of these eaux-de-vie is approaching 30 years of age and gives Hennessy XO its exceptional quality, consistency and complexity.
The experience:
The aroma is rich in dried fruit in the form of prunes or dried figs. The aroma develops into dense notes of chocolate and black pepper, tempered by cinnamon, clove and cardamom spices.
Taste:
Very balanced on the palate. A lovely long aftertaste gives sweet notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Serving: Hennessy XO Cognac has traditionally been enjoyed after a good meal.
