Cloudy Bay Te Koko is a pure further development of the original Sauvignon Blanc, where the most significant difference is that Te Koko is barrel-aged and thus a completely different wine to the normal Sauvignon Blanc.
Te Koko is a creamier and fuller wine compared to the normal Sauvignon Blanc. Wines with great freshness and crisp acidity, which are complemented by a clear aroma picture. The wines are light, juicy and work well with light dishes with fish, seafood and vegetarian alternatives. Green wines typically come from cool wine regions.
Founded in 1985, Cloudy Bay was one of the first five winemakers to venture into Marlborough. At the time, it was almost an unthinkable place to plant a vineyard.
Cloudy Bay is spread over two wine regions, full of climatic and geological diversities. Marlborough, this is where it all started in New Zealand. Central Otago, the world's southernmost wine region, where selection is paramount.
