Vintage 2014 Blanc de Blancs 75 cl. 12% with gift box

Blanc de Blancs is produced 100% from Chardonnay grapes from Louis Roederer's own fields in the Côte des Blancs (Avize, le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Chouilly). After the first fermentation, 20-25% of the wine is matured in wooden barrels, but no malolactic fermentation is carried out. The wine is champagne-aged (second fermentation in the bottle) for no less than 5 years. To preserve freshness and finesse and give Blanc de Blancs more lightness, the pressure in the bottle is limited to 4 kg. instead of the usual 6 kg. The "liqueur de dosage" used (8 g./l.), (dosage liqueur that is added during disgorgement), is composed of 8-10 of the best cru fields and is matured in oak for 4-10 years.

Blanc de Blancs Vintage has a light, golden colour, and in the scent you will find a very intense floral bouquet as well as nuances of citrus fruits, mango, mirabelle and honey. In the taste, it has a good crispness and bite, and the aftertaste reveals exciting almost "buttered" notes of, among other things, hazelnut. Louis Roederer's Blanc de Blancs is excellent as an aperitif, but it will also go well with shellfish, fish and even with goat cheese.
