La Grande Dame is built on approx. 65% Pinot Noir harvested on various Grand Cru fields in Vallée de la Marne and Montagne de Reims, as well as approx. 35% Chardonnay from three Grand Cru fields in the Côte des Blancs. These grapes are vinified into white wine and later added 15% red wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested at Clos Colin, which is Veuve Clicquot's best plot in Bouzy.
The result: Extraordinary aromatic and complex wine with an impressive structure and a surprising freshness considering the fullness.
