Ripe fruit, wood, chocolate and coffee
With a dark amber color, the 2007 Single Vintage opens with harmonious notes of ripe red fruits accompanied by aromas of vanilla, spices and chocolate, providing a delicate and subtle aromatic balance. On the palate, you will find sweet notes of ripe fruit, wood, chocolate and coffee perceived on the palate, adding a complex roundness and smoothness that leads to a long-lasting and velvety finish.

2007 - A unique Rome
Single Vintage 2007 is produced from Diplomático's own sugar cane from the vintage in question. The climate has a major impact on the quality of the molasses. The long storage time of 12 years takes place in oak barrels, which are stored in a naturally controlled climate, whereby the temperature and humidity during the 12 years have a great impact on the final product.

Single Vintage 2007 is rounder and smoother than its predecessor (2005). The flavor profile builds on Diplomático's style to deliver a refined and elegant rum that will please rum enthusiasts and rum connoisseurs alike.

The storage
Diplomático Single Vintage is made from unique casks selected by Maestros Roneros. When they select a rum that has matured in a unique and extraordinary way, they carefully set it aside.

These extraordinary casks are then assembled into vintage batches, which are rums distilled from the same year and aged for 12 years mainly in ex-bourbon and single malt whiskey casks. After these rum casks are blended, they are aged for an extra year in fine Oloroso sherry casks, to give the rum its fantastic finish and recognizable personality.
